What is it?
Modified Hoods are hoods that have been modified to have the custom vents added to them.

Why have a hood modified over other hoods?
Modifying a stock hood keeps the skeleton intact. Carbon Fiber and Carbon-Kevlar Hoods are measured in tinsel strength and tinsel strength is the amount of strength when pulled, not pushed or twisted. Fiber-glass and Carbon Composite hoods shatter when you get into an accident and aren't required to pass crash testing standards. Metal crumples and absorbs impact. What do I need to get it done?
All you need is the stock hood and an idea of what you want done.

How much?
The price of having a hood done depends on how much modification you plan on having done. A normal hood will cost anywhere from $50 to $150 - depending on how the intricacy of the design.
